I said “Yes!” to Knotty Pine!

17 Jun

Hey!  Our kitchen is like on the internets and stuff!

My fav-o-rite blog in the whole world, Retro Renovation has featured our kitchen!  Apparently I am not the only “naughty pine” lover out there and Pam from Retro Renovation seems to think a “Say Yes To Knotty Pine” campaign is in order, a-la “Save The Pink Bathrooms!”  Well sign me up.  The hubs and I are all about our naughty pine.  And, we’re definitely all about our yummy new kitchen!

Hey! I just left two comments on Retro Renovation but for some reason, I get error messages and they disappeared. If they both show up, I’ll look completely crazy but if not, I wanted to come over and tell you that your kitchen is ah-mazing. I’d go so far as to say that it is the most beautiful kitchen that I’ve ever seen. The colors go with the knotty pine like a dream and your flair for decorating takes it to an all new level. I’m not sure how you ever manage to leave it. I’d just stand there and smile.

I am so, so happy for you and your family that you were able to get this home. No doubt it was made for you. : ) Congratulations and wishes for many, many years of happiness in your fantastic new home. Can’t wait to see more!

Eartha! I’m a big fan of your blog and of course YOUR amazing knotty pine kitchen! And I pretty much do just stand in it and smile 🙂 I’m getting that same error message but I’ve tried so many times that if they eventually post I’ll not only look crazy but I’ll probably have a restraining order out against me!
And Kitty, it’s a good thing I didn’t see that floor before putting ours down because I might have tried to replicate it. It’s awesome!
      Deb and Katie – thanks!
Mrs. Johnson, I am in Austin – the north side of course! That’s where all the good vintage is!
Barbara, I promise to post the bathrooms when they’re done!

      Hey Eartha baby,
It appears on Pam’s site that if you put your blog name in, it won’t accept your post. Did the same to me. Take out your blog name and the post will work.

Love your kitchen- I saw the post on Retro Renovation. I had a picture on Pinterest that looked so much like your kitchen, I had to share. Check out the groovy Twister floor. I definitely WILL have a floor like it one day!

Love it! I also have knotty pine in my home and it makes it feel so warm and inviting. It sounds like you live in Austin like me. Which part of town did you find this gem of a home?!

Saw the post on Retro Rennovation. Your kitchen is so dreamy! I love the pine, the aqua, the apple green floor, and the Pyrex display! Well done.
